Prayer About Forgiveness

Heavenly Father,

I come before You today with a contrite heart, acknowledging my sins and the ways in which I have fallen short of Your glory. I humbly ask for Your forgiveness and grace, knowing that it is only through the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ, that I can be washed clean and made new in Your sight.

I humbly ask You to grant me a repentant heart, so that I may turn away from my wicked ways and instead follow You with all of my heart. Give me the strength and courage to confess my sins, and to seek forgiveness from those whom I have wronged.

I trust in Your mercy and love, and I acknowledge that it is only through Your grace that I am able to stand before You today.

I give You all the glory and honor, and pray that my life may be a reflection of Your goodness and grace.

In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Forgiveness Prayer

Dear Lord,

I come before You today acknowledging my mistakes and asking for Your forgiveness. I confess that I have sinned and fallen short of Your glory. I am aware that Your love and mercy are boundless, and I put my trust in Your grace to cleanse me from all unrighteousness.

Father, I humbly request that You grant me the gift of repentance and renew a right spirit within me. I turn away from my wicked ways and turn towards You, trusting in Your goodness and faithfulness.

A Prayer of Forgiveness

Heavenly Father,

I come to You in humility and repentance, acknowledging that I have sinned against You and failed to live up to Your holy standards. I ask for Your forgiveness, and I receive Your mercy and grace through Your Son, Jesus Christ. I confess that I have not loved You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength, and I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I have lied, stolen, coveted, and have been guilty of all manner of sins. I have not honored You in my thoughts, words, and actions.

I ask You to cleanse me from all unrighteousness and renew a right spirit within me. I turn from my sins and commit myself to follow You and live according to Your Word. I ask that You would fill me with Your Holy Spirit and empower me to resist temptation and to love and serve others. I ask that You would give me the strength and wisdom to overcome my sinful nature and that You would help me to grow in grace and in the knowledge of You.

I thank You for Your love, Your mercy, and Your grace, and I praise You for the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who died for my sins and rose again. I trust in You and in the power of His blood to cleanse me from all unrighteousness.

I give You all the glory and honor, now and forever. Amen.

We give You thanks for Your faithfulness and the many ways in which You have already blessed our friend.
