Prayer for the Worker

Almighty God,

Creator of heaven and earth, we come before You today with grateful hearts to lift up the worker. Lord, we ask that You bless their hands as they labor, their minds as they plan, and their hearts as they serve.

Give them the strength to meet the demands of the day, the wisdom to make good decisions, and the courage to persevere when the going gets tough.

We pray for Your protection over them as they go about their work, and provision for their needs and the needs of their loved ones.

We ask that You fill them with a sense of fulfillment and purpose in their labor, that they may find joy in their work and that it may bring glory to Your name.

Lord, use the work of their hands to bless others, let it be a reflection of Your love and grace. And finally Lord, give them the rest they need to recharge, to come back stronger, and be renewed in Your love.

We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen

Heavenly Father,

You are my Good Shepherd, leading me and guiding me always. You provide for my every need and give me a sense of peace and security. You lead me to quiet and peaceful places, where my soul finds rest and is refreshed.

I know that Your goodness and mercy shall pursue me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

I give You all my trust and my heart, I will follow Your lead, obey Your will and serve You all the days of my life. With You, I have nothing to fear, nothing to worry about and nothing to regret. You are my Good Shepherd, the one who watches over me always.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
    He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
    for his name’s sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
    I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
    your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me
