Prayer for the Holy Spirit

Dear God,

We come before You today to ask for the presence and guidance of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We believe that the Holy Spirit is a gift from You, God, given to us through Jesus. The Holy Spirit serves as our counselor, guiding us in truth and offering us comfort in times of need.

We ask that the Holy Spirit would fill us with Your love and give us the strength to follow You. Help us to be more like Jesus, and to live according to Your will.

We pray for the power of the Holy Spirit to transform us and to use us for Your purposes. We pray for the gifts of the Holy Spirit, including wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, and the ability to speak in tongues.

We pray for the Holy Spirit to work in the lives of our family, friends, and loved ones, and to bring them closer to You.

We pray for the Holy Spirit to be present in our churches and in the world, bringing people to a saving knowledge of Jesus.

We pray all of this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Prayer for Thanksgiving

Dear God,

I come to You today with a heart overflowing with thankfulness. I am so grateful for Your love and presence in my life, and for the countless ways You have blessed me.

I thank You for my family and friends, and for the community You have placed me in. I am grateful for my health, my home, and the opportunities You have given me.

I also want to thank You for Your forgiveness and grace. I know that I have made mistakes and fallen short of Your glory, but I am so thankful that through Jesus, I have been reconciled to You.

As I enter into this season of thanksgiving, I pray that You would help me to focus on all the good things in my life, and to remember to give thanks in all circumstances even when things are difficult. Help me to be a blessing to others, and fill my heart with joy and peace as I express my gratitude to You.

In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Heavenly Father,

We come to You today with hearts full of gratitude and thanksgiving. We thank You for Your constant presence in our lives, for Your guidance and protection, and for the countless blessings You have bestowed upon us.

We thank You for the gift of life, and for the opportunities You have given us to grow and learn. We are grateful for our families and friends, for the love and support they provide us.
