This is a simplified version of the Bible story found in Mark 1:40-45, written for children to understand. For the original version, please refer to the Bible passage.
Once, there was a man who had a disease called leprosy. He went to see Jesus and asked Him to heal him. The man kneeled down and said, “If you want to, You can make me clean.” Jesus felt sorry for the man and touched Him. Then he said, “I want to. Be clean!” Right away, the leprosy left the man and he was healed!
Jesus told the man to go see a priest to show that he was healed. But Jesus also told him to keep it a secret and not tell anyone what had happened. However, the man was so happy that he couldn’t keep it to himself. He went and told everyone he met that Jesus had healed him!
Because of this, Jesus could no longer go to the towns. He had to stay in lonely places. But even then, people came to see him from all over.
