This is a simplified version of the Bible story found in Mark 8:22-26, written for children to understand. For the original version, please refer to the Bible passage.
One day, Jesus and his disciples arrived in a town called Bethsaida. Some people brought a man to Jesus who was blind and they begged him to heal him. Jesus took the man by the hand and led him out of the town.
Then Jesus did something strange. He spat on the man’s eyes and put his hands on them. After that, Jesus asked the man, “Can you see anything now?”
The man looked up and said, “I can see people, but they look like trees walking around.” So Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes again, and this time when he opened them, he could see everything clearly!
Jesus told the man to go back to his home, but he also told him not to go back to the town where they came from. The man was so happy that he went home and told everyone about the wonderful thing that Jesus did for him.
Biblical Lessons
- Jesus has the power to heal any sickness. We just need to have faith in Him and ask for his help.
- Jesus cares about all people, no matter who they are or what their circumstances may be.
- Even if we don’t understand why something is happening, we can have faith that Jesus is in control and will take care of us.
- When Jesus heals us or helps us, we should be grateful and share our story with others so they can know about his power too.
