Prayer for Comfort

Dear God,

I come to You today seeking comfort and peace. I am feeling overwhelmed and struggling to find hope in my current circumstances. I know that You are sovereign and have a plan for my life, even when I cannot see it.

I pray that You would wrap Your loving arms around me and give me the strength to face each day. Please fill me with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and help me to trust in You even when I don’t understand Your ways.

I ask that You would use Your Word, the Bible, to encourage and uplift me, and send people into my life to support me and remind me of Your faithfulness.

Thank You for loving me and for being my rock and my refuge.

I pray all of these things in the powerful name of Jesus, my Savior. Amen.

Prayer for a New Year

Dear God,

As we begin this new year, we come to You with humble hearts, seeking Your guidance and direction. Help us to trust in Your plan for our lives and to follow Your will for us.

We pray that You would bless us with strength, courage, and wisdom as we navigate the challenges and opportunities that this new year will bring. May we turn to You in times of difficulty and rejoice in Your goodness and love.

We also pray for those around us, that You would watch over and protect our loved ones and bring healing and hope to those who are in need.

May this new year be a time of growth and transformation for us as we seek to serve You and others with joy and gratitude.

Prayer for a Lost Loved One

Heavenly Father,

I come before You today with a heavy heart, as I am struggling with the loss of a loved one. It feels as if a piece of me is missing, and the pain of their absence is overwhelming.

But I know that You are sovereign and loving, and that nothing happens outside of Your will. I trust that You are working all things together for good, even in the midst of this difficult time.

Please give me the strength and comfort I need to make it through this season of grief. Help me to find hope in the promise of eternal life, and to trust that my loved one is now with You in heaven.

I pray for their soul, that You would surround them with Your love and grace. I pray that You would use their passing to bring about good in this world, and to draw others closer to You.

Lord, I also pray for their family and friends who are grieving alongside me. Please be their comfort and strength as well. Bring us all closer together in love and unity during this time of loss.

Thank You for Your faithfulness and love, even in the face of death.

A Prayer for Before Surgery

Heavenly Father,

As I face this surgery, I come to You with a humble and trusting heart. I know that You are the great physician, and I pray that You would be with me every step of the way. Please give me strength, courage, and peace as I go through this experience.

I pray that You would watch over the medical team and guide their hands as they work. Please protect me from any harm and bring me through this surgery safely. May Your healing power be at work in my body, and may Your presence be a source of comfort and peace to me.

I also lift up my family and loved ones who will be waiting and worrying. Please give them peace and hope, and let them feel Your presence with them. May Your love and Your grace be a source of strength and encouragement to all of us during this time.

Prayer for Psalm 91

Heavenly Father,

I come to You today asking for Your protection and guidance. I turn to Psalm 91 and the words of comfort and assurance that it brings. You are my refuge, my fortress, and my God whom I trust.

I pray that You will cover me with Your feathers and under Your wings I will find refuge. I trust in Your faithfulness to protect me from all harm and danger. I know that You will command Your angels to guard me in all my ways.

I pray that You will set me on high, above the trouble and danger that surrounds me. I will be safe in the shelter of Your tabernacle, and I will trust in the covert of Your wings. Your faithfulness will be my shield and my rampart.

I pray that You will deliver me from the sword, and from the power of the wicked. You will rescue me from the hand of the unrighteous, and from the mouth of the lion. You will set me high, above the reach of my enemies, and I will be safe in Your presence.

I thank You, God, for Your faithfulness and Your protection. I trust in Your love and Your care for me, and I rest secure in Your shelter. I pray that You will continue to guide and protect me, and that I may honor You in all that I do.

Prayer for Christmas

Dear God,

As we celebrate the birth of Jesus on this Christmas day, we give You thanks and praise for the great love You have shown us. We thank You for sending Your Son, the Saviour of the world, to bring us salvation and eternal life.

We pray that this Christmas season will be a time of joy and celebration for all of Your children. May the message of hope and love that Jesus brings fill our hearts and bring peace to our minds.

We pray for those who are struggling during this time, for those who are lonely or hurting. Please bring comfort and healing to those in need, and show them the light of Your love.

As we look to the new year ahead, we pray for Your guidance and protection. Help us to follow in the footsteps of Jesus, and to be a blessing to those around us.

Prayer for Healing of Sickness

Heavenly Father,

I come to You today asking for Your healing hand to be placed upon my body. I am feeling overwhelmed and weak due to my sickness, and I know that only through Your power and strength can I be restored to health.

Even if You choose not to heal me physically, I trust in Your plan and Your sovereignty. I pray that You would give me the grace to endure this trial with faith and trust in You. Please Lord, bring Your healing touch to my soul and allow me to feel Your love and presence.

A Prayer for Friendship

Dear God,

I thank You for the gift of friendship and the joy it brings to my life. I pray for the strength and wisdom to be a good friend to those around me, and to show Your love and grace to them in all that I do.

Prayer for Miracles

Dear God,

I come before You today with a heavy heart, seeking Your divine intervention and miraculous touch. I am in desperate need of Your help and guidance, and I trust that You are able to do far more than I could ever ask or imagine.
