Prayer for Losing a Loved One

Heavenly Father,

We come to You today with heavy hearts, as we grieve the loss of our loved one. Lord, You tell us in Your word that You are close to the brokenhearted and that You save those who are crushed in spirit. We trust in Your promise of eternal life and the hope of one day being reunited with our loved one in heaven.

We ask that You comfort us during this difficult time and fill us with Your peace and understanding. Help us to trust in Your perfect will and to find hope in the midst of our sorrow. Lord, we also ask that You give strength and grace to those who were close to our loved one, and that You be with them as they grieve.

We thank You for the time we had with our loved one and for the memories we will treasure forever. We ask that You give us the strength to let go, and the grace to move forward, relying on You every step of the way.

We pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen
