Prayer for the Loss of a Loved One

Heavenly Father,

We come before You today with heavy hearts, as we mourn the loss of our beloved. Lord, we know that nothing can separate us from Your love, and we trust in Your promise of eternal life.

Even in the midst of our sorrow, we know that You are sovereign and that Your will is perfect. Help us to trust in Your goodness and Your plan, even when it is hard for us to understand.

We ask that You would comfort and sustain those who are grieving, and that Your peace would fill their hearts and minds. Give them strength to face each day, and hope for the future.

Lord, we also ask for Your grace and strength for us as we navigate life without them. Help us to remember the good times and the love that we shared, and to find joy in the memories we have.

We give You all the praise, honor, and glory, for You are the God of all comfort and the one who is able to heal all broken hearts.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
