This is a simplified version of the Bible story found in Genesis 1:26-31, written for children to understand. For the original version, please refer to the Bible passage.
God created the world and everything in it, including humans.
On the sixth day, He made man and woman in His own image, which means that we are special and different from all the other creatures on earth.
God gave humans an important job – to take care of the earth and all the animals living on it. He blessed them and told them to have lots of children and fill the earth with more people.
God gave humans all the plants and fruits on earth for food. He looked at everything He had made and saw that it was good.
Biblical Lessons
- God is pleased when we take care of His creation, including the environment and the animals.
- God provides for our needs and gives us all the resources we need to thrive.
- God created humans to be in relationship with Him and with each other, and our job is to love and care for one another just as God loves and cares for us.
