The Lame Beggar Healed – Bible Story for Kids

This is a simplified version of the Bible story found in Acts 3:1-10, written for children to understand. For the original version, please refer to the Bible passage.

One day, Peter and John were going to the temple to pray when they saw a man who couldn’t walk. This man had been born with weak legs and had to be carried by his friends to the temple gate every day to ask people for money.

When the man saw Peter and John, he asked them for money. Peter and John looked at him and told him to look at them. The man thought they would give him some money, but Peter said they didn’t have any silver or gold. Instead, Peter told the man that he could do something even better. Peter said, “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!”

Then, Peter helped the man up, and immediately the man’s legs felt strong. The man was so happy that he started jumping and praising God. He walked with Peter and John into the temple, and everyone saw him walking and praising God.

They recognized him as the man who always sat at the Beautiful Gate, asking for money. People were amazed and wondered what had happened to him.

Biblical Lessons

With faith in Jesus, miracles can happen.
Peter and John showed compassion and kindness towards the man by healing him, even though they didn’t have any money to give him.
The man’s healing was a sign of God’s power and goodness, which caused people to praise and worship Him.
The man’s healing also caused people to take notice of Peter and John, who were able to use the opportunity to share the gospel with them.
