Prayer for the Grieving

Heavenly Father,

We come before You today with heavy hearts, as we grieve the loss of our loved one. We trust in Your sovereignty and Your promise of comfort and peace for those who mourn.

We ask for Your Holy Spirit to surround us during this difficult time, to bring us comfort, and to help us navigate the days and weeks ahead. Give us the strength to face each day with courage and grace.

We thank You for the time we had with our loved one and the memories we will always cherish. We know that You are sovereign over all things, including death.

We trust in Your promise of eternal life through Your Son, Jesus Christ, and we look forward to the day when we will be reunited with our loved one.

We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
