Almighty and Everlasting God,
We come before You with heavy hearts, as we have lost a loved one. We profess our trust in Your goodness and faithfulness, even in the midst of our pain and sorrow.
Even in the midst of our grief, we acknowledge Your sovereignty and the perfection of Your will. Grant us the grace to trust in Your goodness and Your plan, even when it is difficult for us to comprehend.
We humbly ask You to comfort and sustain those who are grieving, and to grant them Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Grant them strength to face each day and hope for the future.
Lord, we also ask You for Your grace and strength as we navigate life without our loved one. Help us to remember the good times and the love that we shared, and to find joy in the memories we have.
We pray that You would be with us as we grieve, and grant us the grace to continue on in life without our loved one by our side.
All these things we ask in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
