Heavenly Father,
I come to You in the midst of my grief. I am hurting and struggling to understand the reasons behind this loss. I trust in Your sovereignty and acknowledge that nothing happens outside of Your knowledge and permission.
I ask for Your comfort and peace to surround me and fill my heart and mind. Give me the strength and courage to face each day and to place my trust in Your goodness and love.
I also ask for Your healing touch to mend my broken heart and to bring me comfort and hope. Remind me that You are always with me and that You will never abandon me.
I pray for those who are also experiencing grief and for those who have been left behind. I ask that You bring them comfort and hope and give them the strength to face each day.
I trust in Your goodness and love and I look forward to the day when I will see You face to face, and I will understand the reasons behind my grief. I thank You for Your love and for being my rock and refuge.
I humbly make these requests in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
