When God created humans, He made them in His own image. Adam was the first man that God created, and he had a wife named Eve. He made both male and female, and they were blessed by God and called “Man.” This is Adam’s family:
Adam and Eve had a son named Seth when Adam was 130 years old. Seth had many children, and he lived for 912 years before he died.
Seth’s son Enosh had a son named Kenan when he was 90 years old. Enosh lived for 905 years before he died.
Kenan had a son named Mahalalel when he was 70 years old. Kenan lived for 910 years before he died.
Mahalalel had a son named Jared when he was 65 years old. Mahalalel lived for 895 years before he died.
Jared had a son named Enoch when he was 162 years old. Jared lived for 962 years before he died.
Enoch had a son named Methuselah when he was 65 years old. Enoch walked with God for 300 years before he died at the age of 365. This means that he was taken by God, and he did not experience physical death.
Methuselah had a son named Lamech when he was 187 years old. Methuselah lived for 969 years before he died.
Lamech had a son named Noah when he was 182 years old. Noah’s father said that he would bring relief to their work from the painful toil of their hands. Lamech lived for 777 years before he died.
Noah had three sons named Shem, Ham, and Japheth when he was 500 years old.
This story tells us about the history of Adam’s family and how they lived for many years before they died. It also reminds us that God created humans in His own image and that we are all part of His family.
