This is a simplified version of the Bible story found in Exodus 7:8-13, written for children to understand. For the original version, please refer to the Bible passage.
Once upon a time, a man named Moses and his brother Aaron went to talk to the leader of Egypt, a man called Pharaoh. God had told them to show Pharaoh a miracle, which is something amazing that only God could do.
God told Aaron to take his stick and throw it on the ground, and it turned into a snake! So Aaron did this in front of Pharaoh and his helpers, and they were amazed.
But then Pharaoh called his own helpers, who were also good at doing magic tricks, and they made their sticks turn into snakes too! However, Aaron’s snake ate up all their snakes, showing that God’s miracle was more powerful.
Even though Pharaoh saw this, he still didn’t want to listen to Moses and Aaron, because his heart was stubborn and he didn’t want to let God’s people go.
That’s the story of how God showed His power to Pharaoh and his helpers, through a snake-eating miracle!
Biblical Lessons
- God is more powerful than any human being or magic trick.
- It’s important to listen to God and follow His commands.
- Stubbornness and a hard heart can keep people from seeing and accepting the truth.
