This is a simplified version of the Bible story found in Luke 18:15-17, written for children to understand. For the original version, please refer to the Bible passage.
Some people wanted their little babies to meet Jesus, so they brought them to Him. But Jesus’ helpers, the disciples, thought it was not important so they rebuked the people. This made Jesus unhappy because He loves children and wants to be with them.
So, He said to the disciples, “Let the children come to me, don’t stop them. The kingdom of God is for people like them. If you don’t accept God’s kingdom like a child, you can’t go in.”
Jesus then took the children in His arms, hugged them, and blessed them. The children felt very happy and loved being with Jesus.
Biblical Lessons
- Jesus loves children and wants to be with them.
- We should never stop anyone from coming to Jesus, no matter how young or old they are.
- We should try to be like children in our faith, trusting and believing in Jesus with all our hearts.
