Prayer for My Husband

Dear Lord,

I come before You today to lift up my husband. Lord, I pray that You would bless him and keep him safe. I pray that You would give him wisdom and discernment in all areas of his life.

I pray that You would help him to grow in his faith and to trust in You. I pray that You would give him strength when he is facing challenges and that You would be with him in times of temptation.

I pray that You would use him to be a light in the world and to be a blessing to those around him. I pray that You would give him joy and peace in all circumstances.

Lord, I also pray for our marriage. I pray that You would help us to grow closer to each other and to You. I pray that You would give us the strength and courage to face the challenges that come our way and to always put each other and our relationship with You first.

I pray that You would bless our home with love, joy, and peace. Lord, I trust in You and Your plan for our lives.

I pray all of these things in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Prayer for Husband

Dear Lord,

I come to You today in praise and thanksgiving for the gift of my husband. I thank You for the love he shows me and the ways in which he leads and protects our family. I ask that You would continue to bless our marriage, that the love between us would grow stronger each day and that You would give me the wisdom and patience to navigate the challenges that may come our way.

I pray that You would give my husband the strength and courage he needs to follow Your will, to be the man You have called him to be and to lead our family in a way that honors You. I pray that he would be a man of integrity, kindness, and compassion, and that he would have a heart for serving others.

I ask that You would guide my husband in the decisions he makes, that You would give him the wisdom to know Your will for his life, and the courage to follow it. I pray that You would protect him from all harm, both physically and spiritually.

Lord, I also ask that You would give me, as his wife, the grace to be a supportive and loving partner, the wisdom to be a good listener, and the kindness to be forgiving. I pray that You would give me the strength to stand beside my husband through good times and bad.

May You please hear my prayers and bless our family. I trust in Your faithfulness and Your love for us.

I give You all the honor and glory, in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Prayer to My Husband

Heavenly Father,

I come before You today to lift up my husband to You. I give You thanks for the gift of marriage and for the love and commitment that my husband demonstrates in our relationship. I pray that You would grant him strength and wisdom as he leads our family, and that he would have a profound understanding of Your love for him.

I ask that You would bless him in his work and protect him from harm. I pray that You would guide him in every decision he makes and grant him peace and joy in his heart. I request that You would aid him in growing in his faith and deepening his relationship with You.

I implore You to give him the courage to firmly stand in his beliefs and to be a shining light in this dark world. I pray that You would bless our marriage and that we would continue to love and support each other in all things.

This is my prayer in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives, when they see your respectful and pure conduct. Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious. For this is how the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves, by submitting to their own husbands, as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord. And you are her children, if you do good and do not fear anything that is frightening.

Ephesians 5:25-33 ESV

Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, because we are members of his body. “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church. However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

Prayer for Husbands

Heavenly Father,

We come to You today lifting up all the husbands in our lives. We ask that You would grant them wisdom, strength, and integrity as they lead their families.

Father, we pray that they would be faithful and loving husbands, putting their wife’s needs before their own. We pray that they would be examples of Your love and grace to their children and that the love between husband and wife would be a reflection of the love between Christ and His Church.

We pray for the husbands who are facing challenges and struggles, whether in their marriage, at work, or in other areas of their lives. We ask that You would give them the grace and strength to persevere and that they would find their hope and comfort in You.

We pray that all husband’s relationship with You would be strengthened, that they would come to know You more deeply, and that they would find their identity and purpose in You.

We thank You for the men You have blessed us with in our lives, and we trust in Your goodness and faithfulness.

We pray all this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
