Prayer for Marriage

Dear God,

We come before You today to ask for Your blessings and guidance on our marriage. Lord, we pray that You would be at the center of our relationship and that our love for each other would reflect Your love.

We pray for patience, kindness, and self-control as we navigate the ups and downs of life together. Help us to communicate with each other openly and honestly, and to always strive to understand one another’s needs and feelings.

We pray for strength to forgive one another when we make mistakes, and to always choose love and grace over anger and resentment.

May our marriage be a source of joy and encouragement to those around us, and may it be a reflection of Your love for the world.

We thank You for the gift of marriage and for the opportunity to grow closer to You and to each other.

We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.

Prayer for Marriages

Heavenly Father,

We come before You today to seek Your guidance and wisdom for our marriage. We ask that You would bless us with the strength to love and support each other, to communicate openly and honestly, and to always put each other and our relationship first.

We pray that our marriage would be a reflection of Your love, grace, and forgiveness to each other and to those around us. Help us to remember that our marriage is a sacred covenant, not just between us but also between us and You. Protect us from temptation and the attacks of the enemy, and keep our hearts and minds pure and focused on You.

We pray that our love for each other would grow deeper and stronger every day, and that we would be a source of encouragement and support to each other. May our marriage be a blessing to our family, friends, and community, and may it bring glory to Your name.

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited time, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

Prayer About Marriage

Heavenly Father,

We humbly come before You today to seek Your blessings and guidance for our marriage. We are fully aware that it is only through Your grace and love that our union is made strong.

We implore Your continued protection and provision for our relationship. Grant us the wisdom and strength to communicate openly and honestly with each other and to always prioritize each other’s needs above our own.

Help us to navigate the challenges that may arise in our marriage with trust in Your plan for our lives together.

We pray for a deeper understanding and commitment to the sacred covenant of marriage that we have entered into before You. We pledge to love, honor, and respect each other, in sickness and in health, in wealth and in poverty, through good times and bad, until death do us part.

We ask for Your blessings upon our children and our future together as a family. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your love to sustain us through all of life’s adventures.

We give You all the honor and glory, now and forever. Amen.
