Dear Lord,
We come to You today with heavy hearts, as we are grieving the loss of our loved ones. We know that they are with You now, and that they are at peace.
But even though we know this, we cannot help but feel a deep sense of sadness and loss. We miss them so much, and we long to be reunited with them someday.
Please give us the strength and the comfort we need to get through this difficult time. Help us to remember that our loved ones are not gone, but are simply with You in heaven.
We ask that You watch over and protect those who are left behind, and that You bring us all together again someday in Your heavenly kingdom.
We pray all of this in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep.
